Denison is 75 miles north of Dallas and 5 miles south of the Texas-Oklahoma state line along U.S. Highway 75. Denison’s history is rich in flavor and personality, and its residents are dedicated to preserving the town’s unique history. The 30-block area of downtown is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Many homes in Denison have preserved their original character and design. President Dwight Eisenhower was born and raised in Denison.
